“ Route to Industry -Hospital Management”

On 9th November our college organized a seminar for all the final year students of Dayanand Sagar Business Academy. The topic was Route to Industry - Hospital management, Dr Suneeta was our external speaker who addressed all the students and answered all the questions that were directed by the students and the Professors. Dr Suneeta has worked with some of the best hospitals during her career such as Astra, which is a multinational organization and is currently working with Kauvery group of hospitals as the project head. She also has a degree in medicine and practised as a dentist for numerous years and later went on to pursue her MBA. She is a very knowledgeable, experienced and insightful speaker.

She started off by explaining to us what exactly is Hospital Management and what role does it play in today's economically growing world and how we could be vastly benefitted by the same.

She discussed with us in regards to hospital management post the pandemic, and how we were inherently dependent on hospitals and healthcare services to a point where it saved many lives. And during the pandemic and after it as well, she explained to us about how huge of a scope is Hotel Management and how as soon to be fresh graduates we can possibly make a great career out of it, she was very clear about how Hotel Management could be a great option for us since our country is growing immensely in the sector due to every ones dependence on hospitals, clinics and healthcare in general. She laid down appropriate statistics and data for us as well which was eye opening to most of us and really made us wonder and consider the possibility of getting into Hospital Management.

She further spoke about how diverse, economically well-funded and huge the healthcare sector is, there's a role to play for each and every type of person and it's full of great opportunities such as be it for an accountant or an HR, or for somebody who's into digital marketing or as a manager.

She struck a chord with us students during her speech, she explained to us the different aspects of the healthcare Industry, and how every aspect has a different role, a different job, a different part to play.

Dr Suneeta's session was very informative, insightful and helpful to us students, for us to learn about opportunities and great roles in this different sector and since it's fast growing, there would be a ton of opportunities for us, A lot to do, A lot to learn, and a lot to contribute to.

In conclusion, it was a very informative, educational, interactive and interesting seminar that answered some of the most common questions that we had and further provides us with some clarity and it even provided guidance to us in a manner. We all appreciated this session provided to us through our college and we feel it's the need of the hour to address the possibility in different fields and sector to help us shape our future and career in a better way rather than just misguided judgements and decisions.

It provided all of us with a lot of insight and necessary guidance and direction.
