DSBA offers under graduate programmes in Business Administration, Commerce, Computer Applications. Bridge course is a short intensive course conducted for new joiners of B.Com,BBA before the commencement of classes. It is aimed to bridge the gap between the subjects studied in Pre-University is designed to bring all the students from various domains under single umbrella of business course

Bridge course for the academic year 2022-23 was planned from 12th-14th September of 2022-23 to provide all of us, the students who have just joined graduation courses, a strong foundation for all the subjects. Respective faculties handled the bridge course classes along with few guests lecturers for their respective subjects and briefed about the basic concepts which was mandatorily required for each of the students to revisit their concepts of learning which nearly had 5-4 months gap

The sessions continued for 3 continuous days. They were in and around 175 students ,who were all freshers attending the session

One the first day, our beloved principal Dr.Veena.K.N addressed the gathering with her welcoming words. The session’s inaugural speech was by Ms. Natasha Sagar who is an athlete as well as founder and CEO of the “THAP” application designed for the mental health consultancy. Ms. Natasha Sagar explained the youth of the college, who feels inferior about their mental state, how to keep up their mental health and care by giving us the importance of mental fitness and stability . Then we had a briefing on finance by a guest lecturer Dr.Praveen Sinha which was quite easily understandable. Then we had Dr.Muditha on marketing and Dr.Sahana on human resources again both of them were guest lecturers who gave a truly resourceful lecturers which took place in the main auditorium of the campus

The next day we had Prof.Renuka on Finance, Prof.Sudeep on Marketing and Prof.Arpitha for Human Resource for second session of briefing on the respective subjects providing us with lot more information on them.

The second half of day we were introduced to Entrepreneurship by Prof.RoopaShree ,Accountancy by Prof.Naseer Paasha and Taxation by Prof.Hemavathi S which were not just on the respective subjects but also covered the rules, regulations and code of conduct to be followed by students at DSBA. They were quite pressurising yet a lot needed session.

The day of interaction with our beloved professor’s were interesting.

The last day we had Prof.Prabhu for our great language Kannada which made most of feel homely. Then we had Prof.Manoj for English

We were then thought by other guest lecturers Dr.Dhakshayini and Prof.Roopa from Government PU First Grade College sharing their long term experience, insights and knowledge on subjects of accountancy and taxation.

DSBA’s bridge course programme was really a great help to all of us who had been in houses just spending time of different things other to get back to track of academics by revising the concepts

I, on behalf of all the students who have joined DSBA ,acknowledge our principal, teaching and non teaching staff for helping us on our first days of college and giving us such a healthy environment to learn, explore and building memories along knowledge

For the BCA Students of 1st Year Mr.Suprith Garla conducted a session on Digital Marketing and Artificial Intelligence on 12th September and on the 13th Mr.Suprith conducted a session on Ethical Hacking. The last day of Bridge Program had Ms.Kumuthavalli delivering a lecture on Data Science
