NSS Orientation for the Academic Year 2022-23

Report on NSS orientation program of Dayananda Sagar Business Academy

The program was conducted on 21/11/2022 Monday (3.30P.M) at Dayananda Sagar Business Academy- 4th Floor-Seminar Hall. The program was addressed by Dr. Veena K.N Principal-DSBA followed by Prof. Rajini NSS Coordinator-DSBA and also by the NSS Student Volunteers.

The program aimed to bring awareness to the freshly joined NSS Student Volunteers on the annual activities conducted under NSS Cell -DSBA. And celebration of ekta divas.

Prof. Rajini welcomed Principal by presenting the Flower Bouquet. The program initiated by lighting the lamp by the Principal, Prof. Rajini, Prof. Sanjeev, Prof. Roopa and the newly joined NSS Volunteers.

The major orientation was given regarding the NSS activities that has been undertaken by the college such as Blood Donation Camp, Vana-Mahotsava, Visiting the old age home- Shanthidhama. The objective of the program was to educate the new joiners upon social service, community interaction and also encouraging the new youths to take part in large numbers.

Prof. Rajini shared valuable insights with the student volunteers on the NSS Motto- “Not Me But You” which inspired each and every students who were gathered around. She gave a clarity to the students about NSS and its activities.

Principal Dr. Veena K.N made the session much more interactive by encouraging the students to be much action-oriented and appreciated the work of NSS cell DSBA towards society, and mentioned a proverb which inspired many. And she gave a brief introduction about ekta divas which is birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai patel.

The NSS Student Volunteers shared their experience with the junior new volunteers about all the functions, activities and other programs conducted yearly by the NSS Cell.

Also, at the end students were communicated to take oath which made them much more sincere towards serving as NSS Volunteers.
